There are only two more rounds left in the Second Stage in Liga Sudamericana. Coincidentally all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The biggest surprise of round 4 was Argentinian guest Regatas' (3-1) road victory over one of their biggest challengers Brazilian Corinthians (2-2) 72-66 on Friday evening. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Corinthians were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Dominican center Luis Santos (203-1994, college: St.Louis) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Claudio Ramirez (200-1990) chipped in 16 points. Regatas' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. produced 16 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Regatas keep a position of league leader, which they share with Defensor. Corinthians at the other side keep the third place with two games lost. They share the position with San Jose. Regatas is looking forward to face league's leader Defensor in Montevideo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Corinthians will play on the road against San Jose in Asuncion and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It was a key game for the top position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Facundo Terra (187-1998) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds. Dion Wright contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Austin Wrighten (192-1996, college: Lynchburg) replied with 14 points for San Jose. San Jose's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Defensor keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Regatas. San Jose at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Corinthians. Defensor will play against league's second-placed Regatas in Corrientes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. San Jose will play at home against Corinthians and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

San Jose - Defensor 54-64

Another exciting game was played in Asuncion between second ranked Uruguayan Defensor and one of their biggest challengers Paraguayan San Jose where Defensor (3-1) beat San Jose (2-2) on the road 64-54. It was a key game for the top position in the league. It looked good early as San Jose took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Defensor had a 20-14 second period charge getting the lead and San Jose was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 54-64. They dominated on the defensive end, holding San Jose to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Facundo Terra (187-1998) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds.
