LNBPF Finals: Mieleras de Guanajuato wins the title! - Jul 7, 2016


With a demonstration of character and passion Mieleras de Guanajuato repeats and gets the crown for the second straight year! In the game 4 of the finals they defeated Lobas 77-65 on the road and eventually won the series 3:1. Porchia Green (180-G-87, college: Ball St.) was named the MVP of the final.

Top ranked Mieleras (12-4) recorded its fourth loss in Tepic on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by third ranked Mexcaltecas (11-5) 78-77. The hosts trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 24-12 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Mexcaltecas have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 11-5 record behind leader Mieleras. Mieleras at the other side still keep top place with four games lost. They share the position with Lobas.
