Leron Black agreed terms with Abejas

Abejas de Leon (LNBP) strengthened their roster with addition of 24-year old American forward Leron Black (201-100kg-96, college: Illinois). He played in the summer at House of 'Paign (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. Black managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!).

The most of last season he spent at Minas (Brazilian NBB) in Brazilian league where in 11 games he recorded 4.3ppg and 1.7rpg. Black also played for Flamengo in Brazil that season. In only one Liga Americas game he had 3 points and 1 rebound. He also played 11 games in Brazilian NBB where he averaged 3.0ppg and 1.7rpg.

Two years ago Black was drafted by Raptors 905 (G-League) in the first round (25th overall).

The former University of Illinois standout is in his third season in pro basketball.

Black has played previously professionally in Argentina (Argentino) and Israel.

Black received the All-Big Ten Honorable Mention award in 2018 at his college time.
