Dorados - NCG Potros 125-104 Dorados (8-0) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed NCG Potros (1-7) 125-104. Dorados dominated down low during the game scoring 86 of its points in the paint compared to NCG Potros' 48. They outrebounded NCG Potros 56-34 including a 44-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dorados looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by NCG Potros' players. American players dominated the game. It was a quality performance for Ramon Galloway (190-91, college: La Salle) who led the winners and scored 37 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Eric Dawson (206-84, college: Midwestern St.) accounted for 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Dawson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Dorados' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Cairo Brown (190-93, college: Benedict) came up with 30 points and 4 assists and forward Tristan Spurlock (203-91, college: UCF) added 20 points and 12 rebounds respectively for NCG Potros in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Dorados will meet Soles (#4) in the next round. NCG Potros will play against Ciudad and it may be a tough game between close rivals. Strangely Ciudad outrebounded Centauros 43-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Ciudad's players. Ciudad was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for international forward Jonatan Machado (200-93) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 rebounds. The former international Gabriel Giron (192-88) contributed with 18 points and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners.
