LNBP Round 2 of Regular Season

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in LNBP. The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

First defeat of league's leader Panteras against Abejas 95-81 was the most important game of the last round. Abejas made 29-of-38 free shots (76.3 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Panteras helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Michael Smith (193-95, college: CBU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). The other American import center Gary McGhee (210-88, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international Fabian Jaimes (198-92) replied with 14 points and 8 rebounds for Panteras. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Panteras will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest. Abejas will try to continue on its current victory against Panteras in Aguascalientes.
Important game to mention about took place in Durango. Lenadores saved a 1-point victory at home edging Plateros 84-83 on Monday evening. American forward Jerry Evans (203-90, college: Nevada) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Omar Krayem chipped in 15 points and 7 assists during the contest. American Dominique Morrison (198-89, college: ORU, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with 26 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Lenadores will play against Dorados in Chihuahua in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Plateros will play on the road against Fuerza Regia in Monterrey and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Durango between Lenadores and Plateros. Lenadores got a very close home victory over Plateros. Lenadores managed to escape with a 3-point win 89-86 on Sunday evening. Germain Jordan notched a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 35 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (was perfect 15-for-15 from the free throw line !!!) by Reyshawn Terry did not help to save the game for Plateros. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Lenadores will meet Dorados in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Plateros will play against Fuerza Regia in Monterrey and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 2: Libertadores beat Astros on the road 92-89. Dorados destroyed Lenadores on its own court 80-58. Libertadores unfortunately lost to Astros in Guadalajara 97-100.
The most impressive performance of 2nd round was 31 points and 4 assists by Vander Blue of Libertadores.

Lenadores - Plateros 84-83

Important game to mention about took place in Durango. Lenadores saved a 1-point victory at home edging Plateros 84-83 on Monday evening. Plateros were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Jerry Evans (203-90, college: Nevada) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Swedish-American point guard Omar Krayem (186-88, college: CBU, agency: Haylett Sports) chipped in 15 points and 7 assists during the contest. Four Lenadores players scored in double figures. American Dominique Morrison (198-89, college: ORU, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with 26 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Yancy Gates (206-89, college: Cincinnati) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Lenadores will play against Dorados in Chihuahua in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Plateros will play on the road against Fuerza Regia in Monterrey and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Lenadores - Plateros 89-86

A very close game took place in Durango between Lenadores and Plateros. Lenadores got a very close home victory over Plateros. Lenadores managed to escape with a 3-point win 89-86 on Sunday evening. Lenadores made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. American forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) notched a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Swedish-American point guard Omar Krayem (186-88, college: CBU, agency: Haylett Sports) supported him with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Lenadores players scored in double figures. Astros - Libertadores 89-92

No shocking result in a game when Libertadores edged Astros in Guadalajara 92-89 on Thursday. American Vander Blue (196-92, college: Marquette, agency: Shark Sports Management) notched 21 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and the other American import Tony Mitchell (198-89, college: Alabama, agency: BIG) supported him with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Libertadores' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 20 points and 9 rebounds by Nigerian-American power forward Ikechukwu Diogu (204-83, college: Arizona St.) did not help to save the game for Astros. American Jared Wilson-Frame (196-96, college: Pittsburgh) added 17 points for the hosts. Libertadores will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Astros will play again against Libertadores and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Dorados - Lenadores 80-58

Very expected game when Lenadores were smashed by Dorados in Chihuahua 80-58 on Thursday. Dorados dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Lenadores' 26. American players dominated the game. Guard Rayes Gallegos (188-90, college: Nebraska) notched 19 points to lead the effort and power forward Charles Mitchell (203-93, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Slash Sports) supported him with 11 points. Four Dorados players scored in double figures. Even 20 points by forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) did not help to save the game for Lenadores. Forward Jerry Evans (203-90, college: Nevada) added 5 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dorados will again meet at home Lenadores in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lenadores will have a break next round.

American Jared Wilson-Frame (196-96, college: Pittsburgh) notched 18 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and Nigerian-American power forward Ikechukwu Diogu (204-83, college: Arizona St.) supported him with 20 points. Five Astros players scored in double figures. Even 31 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) by American Vander Blue (196-92, college: Marquette, agency: Shark Sports Management) did not help to save the game for Libertadores. His fellow American import Tony Mitchell (198-89, college: Alabama, agency: BIG) added 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Astros will again meet at home Libertadores in the next round. Libertadores will have a break next round.
