Fuerza Regia takes over a leadership position

There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in LNBP. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Fuerza Regia smashed Plateros in Monterrey 99-78. Fuerza Regia dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Plateros' 36. They outrebounded Plateros 31-18 including a 25-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Fuerza Regia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a good game for American guard Rodney Green (197-88, college: La Salle) who led his team to a victory with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Joseph Avila contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: UNC) answered with 20 points for Plateros. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Plateros will play next round against strong Dorados trying to get back on the winning streak. Fuerza Regia will try to continue on its current victory against Halcones UV Xalapa on the road.
Important game to mention about took place in Monterrey. Plateros (4-3) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging Fuerza Regia (4-2) 78-75 on Friday evening. It was a great evening for American forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: UNC) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. Orlando Mendez-Valdez helped adding 19 points. The best for the losing side was Nigerian-American power forward OD Anosike (203-91, college: Siena) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Plateros will play against Dorados (#4) in Chihuahua in the next round. Fuerza Regia will play on the road against Halcones UV Xalapa and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in Xalapa between Soles and Halcones UV Xalapa. Soles (3-3) got a very close victory on the road over Halcones UV Xalapa (0-6). Soles managed to escape with a 3-point win 69-66 on Saturday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Erik Thomas who led the winners and scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Soles' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Ishmael Lane came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for Halcones UV Xalapa in the defeat. Soles will meet at home Astros in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Halcones UV Xalapa will play against Fuerza Regia (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 3: Soles smashed Halc.Xalapa on the road 91-69. Abejas lost to Panteras on its own court 76-81. Lenadores unfortunately lost to Dorados in Chihuahua 72-80. Lenadores managed to beat Panteras at home 94-81.
The most impressive performance of 3rd round was 21 points and 8 rebounds by Jerry Evans of Lenadores.

Halc.Xalapa - Soles 69-91

No shocking result in a game when Soles (3-3) crushed on the road Halcones UV Xalapa (0-6) 91-69 on Friday. Soles forced 22 Halcones UV Xalapa turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American Joe Lawson (201-92, college: Indianapolis, agency: Inception Sports) who led the winners and scored 28 points and 9 rebounds. International guard Luke Martinez (190-90, college: Wyoming) accounted for 9 points for the winning side. Lawson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Raul Delgado (190-91, college: MSU Denver) came up with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and American power forward Ishmael Lane (203-97, college: NSU) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Halcones UV Xalapa in the defeat. Four Halcones UV Xalapa players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Soles will meet at home Astros in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Halcones UV Xalapa will play against Fuerza Regia (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

There was a minor upset when Abejas (3-3) lost to Panteras (3-3) in Guanajuato 76-81 on Friday. Panteras made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for Panamanian Ernesto Oglivie (203-89) who led the winners and scored 24 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). International center Joshua Ibarra (211-95, college: HBU) accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Five Panteras players scored in double figures. American guard Michael Smith (193-95, college: CBU) came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Spencer Williams (188-95, college: Wooster) added 11 points and 8 assists respectively for Abejas in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Panteras will meet Lenadores (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Abejas will play against Libertadores in Queretaro and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Charles Mitchell (203-93, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Slash Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized American Durrell Summers (196-89, college: Michigan St.) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Jerry Evans (203-90, college: Nevada) came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) added 13 points respectively for Lenadores in the defeat. Four Lenadores players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dorados will meet Plateros in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lenadores will play against Panteras and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
