Round 7 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Pioneros Los Mochis (9-5). They were defeated by second ranked Astros (10-5) 95-85 on Tuesday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Astros looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American Lagerald Vick (196-1997, college: Kansas) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Jordan Loveridge (198-1993, college: Utah) helped adding 17 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side Swiss point guard Jordan Stevens (182-1994, college: Midwestern St.) responded with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Astros keep a position of league leader. Pioneros Los Mochis at the other side dropped to the second place with five games lost. They share the position with Hermosillo. They were replaced at the leadership position by Astros. Pioneros Los Mochis will play next round against strong Rayos de Hermosillo trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Astros will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Tijuana Zonkeys at home.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 7: bottom-ranked Culiacan lost to Hermosillo on the opponent's court 84-87. Mazatlan was outscored by Guaymas in a home game 66-90. Obregon recorded a loss to Tijuana on the road 80-75. Hermosillo defeated Culiacan on its own court 80-77. Guaymas was beaten by Mazatlan in a road game 79-72.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 20 points and 11 rebounds by Alex Hicks of Mazatlan.

However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Rayos de Hermosillo outrebounded Caballeros de Culiacan 42-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Rayos de Hermosillo made 8 blocks. We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Mazatlan where seventh ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas (5-9) smashed 6th ranked Venados (7-7) 90-66 on Tuesday. Ostioneros de Guaymas dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Venados' 34.
