Hermosillo outscored Mazatlan in a road game 108-85. Bottom-ranked Los Mochis recorded a loss to Astros at home 92-102. Obregon were defeated by Tijuana on the opponent's court 86-72.

Mazatlan - Hermosillo 87-91

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (6-3) beat bottom-ranked Venados (3-7) in Mazatlan 91-87 on Friday. Rayos de Hermosillo outrebounded Venados 40-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. American guard Nojel Eastern (198-1999, college: Howard) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Jimond Ivey (196-1996, college: Akron) accounted for 16 points and 11 rebounds. The former international Jorge Casillas (192-1990) came up with 29 points and 9 rebounds and American center Vincent Boumann (206-1996, college: WOU) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Venados in the defeat. Five Rayos de Hermosillo and four Venados players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Rayos de Hermosillo maintains third place with 6-3 record behind leader Astros. Venados lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost.
