LNBPF 2023 - Rachel Hollivay (ex Gran Canaria) signs at Abejas

Abejas de Leon (LNBPF) landed 29-year old American 196cm center Rachel Hollivay (college: Rutgers) for new season. Hollivay played recently at Gran Canaria in Spanish LF Endesa. In 26 games she averaged 8.2ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.3apg last season. She also played for Rize Belediyesi in Turkish KBSL where in three LF Endesa games she had 7.0ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.0apg and 1.7bpg.
In 2016 she was drafted by Atlanta Dream (WNBA) in second round (13th overall).
Hollivay graduated from Rutgers University and it will be her seventh season in pro basketball.
She is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball she experienced life in sixteen different countries playing on four different continents. Hollivay is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American and of course North American leagues. She has played previously professionally in Chile (Gimnastico), China (Liaoning Hengye), France (Villeneuve and Nantes), Greece (PAOK Thessaloniki), Hungary (UNI Gyor), Israel (Maccabi Haifa), Jordan (Dunes Club), Montenegro (Buducnost), Ukraine (Prometey), WNBA (LA Sparks), Turkey (Besiktas and Girne Universitesi), South Korea (Blue Minx), GWBA (Flint Lady Monarchs), Spain (CREF Hola), Ecuador (Leones) and WBDA (Atlanta M.).
Among many awards she won United Cup Superior championship title in 2022. Hollivay was voted to Big Ten All-Defensive Team back in 2016.
