KACM Kawkab de Marrakech lands Britney Jones, ex Libertadoras

KACM Kawkab de Marrakech (DEX-D) landed experienced 36-year old American 174cm point guard Britney Jones (college: UAB) for new season. Jones played this summer at Libertadoras in Mexican LNBPF, but left the team in May. She managed to play in three leagues last year (!!!). In 8 LNBPF games just recently she averaged 9.1ppg, 3.1rpg, 3.0apg and 1.1spg. The last season she played at ASC Sepsi SIC Sfantu Gheorghe in Romanian Liga Nationala where in 27 games she had 9.1ppg, 1.9rpg, 4.3apg and 1.9spg. Jones helped them to win the Romanian League title and the cup. She can count that season as a very successful as was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Romanian League Honorable Mention. Jones also played 10 games in Eurocup where she recorded 12.5ppg, 2.3rpg, 5.3apg and 1.4spg.
She is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball she experienced life in twelve different countries playing on three different continents. Jones is familiar with European, Latin American and of course North American leagues. She has played previously professionally in Belarus (BC Minsk), Belgium (Namur and Castors Braine), Greece (FEA Neas), Iceland (Fjolnir), Israel (Elitzur Holon and Hapoel Petah Tikva), Poland (Wroclaw), Puerto Rico (Montaneras), Russia (UMMC Yekaterinburg and Chevakata), Switzerland (Fribourg), Romania (Targoviste and Brasov), WNBA (Chicago Sky) and El Salvador (Santa Tecla Elite).
It may be one of last seasons in her extensive career, which she may end at KACM Kawkab de Marrakech.
Jones graduated from University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2009 and it will be her 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
