Halc.Xalapa - Fuerza Regia 85-88

Fuerza Regia looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American players dominated the game. Guard Daniel Bejarano (193-1991, college: Colorado St.) nailed 28 points and 4 assists for the winning side and forward Cecil Williams (198-1995, college: CMU) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds. Daniel Hamilton (201-1995, college: UConn) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Justin Keenan (202-1989, college: Ferris St.) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Halcones UV Xalapa in the defeat. Four Fuerza Regia and five Halcones UV Xalapa players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

Abejas dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Santos' 46. Abejas players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. American Markeith Cummings (198-1988, college: KSU) stepped up and scored 39 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the winners and naturalized Puerto Rican guard Joseph Soto (190-1993) chipped in 8 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists. Four Abejas players scored in double figures. Puerto Rican forward Josue Erazo (203-1995, college: PR-Rio Piedras) responded with 29 points and 5 rebounds and American-Dominican guard Adonys Henriquez (201-1994, college: St.Louis, agency: BMS Sport Agency) scored 28 points (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). Santos' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.

Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Panteras made 8 blocks. 25 personal fouls committed by Libertadores helped the opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Puerto Rican guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. Puerto Rican forward Christian Negron (201-1998, college: GVSU) contributed with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Four Panteras players scored in double figures. American guard Branden Frazier (191-1992, college: Fordham) answered with 15 points and the other American import forward Bennie Boatwright (208-1996, college: USC) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Libertadores. Libertadores' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
