The visitors from Guaymas managed to secure only two-point victory 97-95. However their fans expected easier game. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by Cullen Russo who scored that evening 17 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Even a double-double of 11 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks by Kelby Kramer did not help to save the game for Culiacan. Ostioneros de Guaymas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Mazatlan. Culiacan lost eighth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 18 lost games. Guaymas will meet at home league's leader Astros in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Culiacan will play against Frayles (#9) in Guasave and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
