Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

CIBACOPA top team - Astros (8-0) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Frayles de Guasave (3-5) in Guadalajara 97-68. Astros outrebounded Frayles 46-22 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of American point guard JR Clay (183-2000, college: Tennessee St., agency: Diamond Sports) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and the other American import Xavier White (203, college: Midland CC) who added 8 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Forward Tyrone Jones (193) responded with 11 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Astros have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. Frayles lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with Guaymas. Astros are looking forward to face Guaymas (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Frayles will play against Los Mochis and are hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
Bottom-ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (0-6) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to second ranked Angeles (7-1) 115-98. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by swingman Will Yoakum (196-1998, college: Nova SE) who scored that evening 28 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Jacob Calloway supported him with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds by Greg Whittington (205-1993, college: Georgetown) did not help to save the game for Obregon. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Angeles have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 7-1 record behind leader Astros. Obregon at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Angeles will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Obregon will play at home against Mazatlan (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
An interesting game took place in Mazatlan where 6th ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas (3-5) were upset on the court of ninth ranked Venados (2-6) 91-84 on Wednesday. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was KJ Feagin who scored 26 points and 5 steals (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Horace Spencer produced 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the guests. Mazatlan moved-up to eighth place. Loser Ostioneros de Guaymas keep the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Frayles. Mazatlan will meet bottom-ranked Obregon (#10) in the next round. Guaymas will play against the league's leader Astros (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.

In the last game of round 8 Hermosillo was destroyed by Tijuana on the opponent's court 90-58.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 25 points and 8 rebounds by Cameron Mitchell of Tijuana.
