Rather expected game when 8th rankedRayos de Hermosillo (1-5) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (4-4) 90-58 on Wednesday. Tijuana forced 19 Hermosillo turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Hermosillo 's players. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was swingman Cameron Mitchell (195-1992, college: IU Southeast) who scored 25 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Alex Kaye Williams (203-1993) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Tijuana Zonkeys players scored in double figures. Point guard Bryce Griggs (188-2003) produced 22 points and 4 assists and forward James Montgomery (203-2001, college: Barry) added 12 points and 15 rebounds respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tijuana moved-up to fourth place. Defending champion Hermosillo dropped to the ninth position with five games lost.
