Dorados - Gambusinos 131-75

Dorados dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Gambusinos' 34. Dorados forced 21 Gambusinos turnovers and outrebounded them 37-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. Dorados shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Gambusinos' players. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard AJ Banks (188-1997, college: Wyoming) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 assists and 4 steals (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Tyren Johnson (202-1988, college: Louisiana) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Banks is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Dorados players scored in double figures. Swingman Brent Jackson (193-1994, college: Columbus St.) answered with 18 points and guard Michael Bryson (193-1994, college: UCSB) added 8 points in the effort for Gambusinos. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Halc.Xalapa - El Calor 83-52

Halcones UV Xalapa outrebounded El Calor 48-34 including a 40-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Halcones UV Xalapa shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by El Calor's players. It was a very good performance for American-Puerto Rican Jaysean Paige (188-1994, college: WVU) who helped to win the game recording 25 points. Argentinian-Italian point guard Fernando Zurbriggen (185-1997) contributed with 2 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. The former international JJ Avila (203-1991, college: Colorado St.) answered with 5 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Lance Jones (185-2000, college: Purdue) added 10 points in the effort for El Calor. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

It was a very good performance for guard Bryan Rivera (188-1995) who helped to win the game recording 23 points (perfect behind the arc making all seven shots !!!). American-Argentinian guard Romeao Ferguson (196-1997, college: Lipscomb) contributed with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Mineros' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Jaire Grayer (196-1996, college: TCU) answered with 25 points and 4 assists and Dominican Luismal Ferreiras (200-2003) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Santos. Four Santos players scored in double figures.

American point guard Jaron Martin (178-1995, college: UC Irvine) contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American point guard Damien Daniels (170-2000, college: ACU) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and Costa Rican-Belizean Charles Garcia (204-1988, college: Seattle) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Correcaminos. Five Panteras and four Correcaminos players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
