American Melik Martin (198-G/F-1999) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Frayles de Guasave and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 26-year old swingman had the game-high 27 points adding six rebounds and four assists for Frayles in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Obregon (#3, 18-12) with 36-point margin 122-86. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Frayles de Guasave is placed at 2nd position in Mexican CIBACOPA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Frayles will need more victories to improve their 19-13 record. In the team's last game Martin had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Frayles de Guasave, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Melik Martin averages this season 15.4ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Jahvari Josiah (193-G-1993) of Halcones de Ciudad Obregon. Josiah impressed basketball fans with 32 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Halcones de Ciudad Obregon lost that game 118-137 to slightly higher-ranked Frayles (#2, 19-13). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Obregon still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 18-12 record is not bad at all. Josiah is one of the most experienced players at Obregon and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Frayles' star - American Octavio Octavio (193-G). Octavio scored 26 points and passed 12 assists (!!!). He was another key player of Frayles de Guasave, helping his team with a 137-118 easy win against #3 ranked Obregon. Frayles de Guasave needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 19 victories and 13 lost games. Octavio has a great season in Mexico. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.9ppg (6th best).

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
