LSB Round 12: Tigres still unable to win any game

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Bottom-ranked Tigres (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 93-87 loss to third ranked Leones MGA (5-2) in Chinandega on Sunday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Leones MGA made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Argentinian power forward Gianfranco Sinconi (204-94) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Chris Blake (195-88, college: Detroit) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was American Quincy Scates (198-89, college: TWU) who recorded 34 points (!!!). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leones MGA keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Tigres at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost.

Real Esteli at the other side keeps the fifth place with three games lost.

In the last game of round 12 Rivas was defeated by Brumas in Jinotega 76-64.

There was no surprise in Jinotega where 7th ranked Rivas (3-4) were defeated by second ranked Brumas (5-2) 76-64. Brumas brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. It was a good game for American forward Justin Miller (198-96, college: Detroit) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The former international Dayton Cacho (186-91) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American center BJ Glasford (196-95, college: Stetson, agency: Green Sports Management) replied with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Jabari Price-Martin added 20 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Rivas. Five Brumas and four Rivas players scored in double figures. Brumas keep a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Rivas at the other side keep the seventh place with four games lost.
