Rivas - Cacique D. 75-79 The game in was quite interesting. Third ranked Cacique D. (12-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Rivas (10-9). Cacique D. managed to secure a 4-point victory 79-75 on Tuesday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rivas. Forward Jeremy Agosto stepped up and scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and American center Scott Sill (206-92, college: Delaware St.) chipped in 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. At the losing side American power forward Darryl Palmer (203-94, college: SC State) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import Quentin Davis (199, college: Mendocino CC) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. Four Rivas players scored in double figures. Rivas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cacique D. moved-up to second place. Rivas at the other side keep the sixth position with nine games lost. Sixth ranked Leon (10-8) played at the court of 8th ranked Indigenas (2-15). Leon smashed Indigenas 97-70. Leon players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Indigenas' players. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Cuban Yuniskel Molina (183-93) nailed a triple-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and Dominican center Miguel Almonte (211-91) accounted for 23 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. Five Leon players scored in double figures. American center James Edmond Jr (203-91, college: Lincoln, MO) came up with 21 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Francisco Baltodano added 6 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Indigenas in the defeat. Indigenas' coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Leon have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Indigenas lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 15 games lost. Brumas dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Tigres' 50. Brumas forced 22 Tigres turnovers and outrebounded them 53-25 including a 29-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Tigres' players. American Timothy Simmons (195-92, college: DBU) nailed 16 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side and the former international point guard Romario Ponce (180-95) accounted for 20 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Five Brumas players scored in double figures. Jose Ortiz came up with 26 points and American Quincy Scates (198-89, college: TWU) added 22 points respectively for Tigres in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brumas keep a position of league leader. Tigres at the other side stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost.
