Ingenieria - Rivas 86-92 The game between 4th placed Ingenieria (11-9) and sixth ranked Rivas (11-9) in on Tuesday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from beat Ingenieria 92-86. It was a quality performance for American Quentin Davis (199, college: Mendocino CC) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. It was a great evening for American center James Edmond Jr (203-91, college: Lincoln, MO) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Marco Maradiaga helped adding 23 points. Indigenas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Real Esteli (12-8) to first ranked Brumas (13-4) 86-84 on Tuesday evening. Brumas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Martell Miller (198-96, college: Detroit) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import center Leon Hampton (213-95, college: Stillman, agency: Epic Sports Consulting LLC) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Hampton is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Brumas' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American-Puerto Rican Melsahn Basabe (201-92, college: Iowa) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and Puerto Rican guard Christian Pizarro (180-95, college: Miami Dade CC) added 10 points and 14 assists in the effort for Real Esteli. Four Brumas and five Real Esteli players scored in double figures. Brumas maintains first place with 13-4 record. Real Esteli lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third position with eight games lost. Brumas are looking forward to face Leon (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Real Esteli will play against Rivas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
