Real Esteli nipped Cacique to take the lead in the semifinal series. Puerto Rican guard Christian Pizarro (180-95, college: Miami Dade CC) fired 14 points and 8 assists for the winners. American-Puerto Rican Melsahn Basabe (201-92, college: Iowa) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Real Esteli's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American center Scott Sill (206-92, college: Delaware St.) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds and Dominican forward Xavier de la Rosa (196-91) added 30 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side.

Brumas overcame Rivas in the opener. Brumas players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists.
