Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Jaguares (11-1) on the court of second ranked Flecheros on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by Flecheros 89-83. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Flecheros made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Jaguares helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and who added 26 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Jorge Gonzalez with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Flecheros have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 8-4 record having just three points less than leader Jaguares, which they share with Brumas. Jaguares at the other side still keep top place with one game lost. Flecheros is looking forward to face Costa Caribe (#6) in Managua in the next round. Jaguares will play at home against Tigres (#7) and are hoping to win this game.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Managua: Jaguares (#1) and Costa Caribe (#6). Costa Caribe was defeated at home 109-113 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The winners were led by who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points, 18 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 blocks and Luis Lopez supported him with 32 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Even a double-double of 38 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 6 assists by Robiel Morales did not help to save the game for Costa Caribe. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Jaguares maintains first position with 11-1 record. Costa Caribe lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with nine games lost. Jaguares will play against bottom-ranked Tigres (#7) in Corinto in the next round where they are favorite. Costa Caribe will play against Flecheros and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Managua was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Real Esteli (6-6) played at the court of 5th ranked Leones (4-8). Real Esteli managed to secure a 4-point victory 99-95 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was Jezreel De Jesus who scored 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). At the other side the best for losing team was Noah Williams who recorded 21 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Real Esteli have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 6-6 record. Leones lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with eight games lost. Real Esteli will meet at home league's second-placed Brumas in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Leones will have a break next round.

In the last two games of round 12 Leones were destroyed by Flecheros on the opponent's court 84-61. Brumas outscored Tigres in a home game 95-66.




Flecheros - Jaguares 89-83

Leones - Real Esteli 95-99

The game in Managua was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Real Esteli (6-6) played at the court of 5th ranked Leones (4-8). Real Esteli managed to secure a 4-point victory 99-95 on Tuesday. Real Esteli shot 31 for 43 from the free-throw line, while Leones only scored twelve points from the stripe. They outrebounded Leones 44-33 including a 39-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Puerto Rican guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991) who scored 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). The former international Jared Ruiz (188-1992) chipped in 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was who recorded 21 points and 5 rebounds and Venezuelan center Miguel Bolivar (205-1992) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five Leones players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Real Esteli have a solid three-game winning streak. Flecheros - Leones 84-61

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Leones (4-8) were crushed on the road by second ranked Flecheros (8-4) 84-61 on Thursday. Flecheros outrebounded Leones 58-42 including a 47-33 advantage in offensive rebounds. Flecheros looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Leones' players. The best player for the winners was Colombian center Chyse Webster (204-2000) who scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. American power forward Eden Ewing (204-1997, college: Texas Southern) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Flecheros' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Puerto Rican guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and the former international Jared Ruiz (188-1992) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Brumas - Tigres 95-66

Rather predictable result in Jinotega where third ranked Brumas (8-4) smashed bottom-ranked Tigres (2-10) 95-66 on Thursday. Brumas dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Tigres' 48. Brumas forced 20 Tigres turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Tigres' players. The best player for the winners was who scored 22 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. American-Puerto Rican forward Jonathan Ocasio (196-1992, college: New Haven) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four Brumas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Puerto Rican guard Ezequiel Colon (193-1999, college: Lehman) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American power forward Eden Ewing (204-1997, college: Texas Southern) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brumas moved-up to second place, which they share with Flecheros. Tigres lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Brumas will meet Real Esteli (#4) on the road in the next round. Tigres will play against the league's leader Jaguares in Managua and hope to secure a win.

The winners were led by who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points, 18 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 blocks and Puerto Rican guard Luis Lopez (182-1998, college: PR-Mayaguez) supported him with 32 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals.
