The Regular Season in LSB just ended. What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Managua: Jaguares (#1) and Leones (#6). Leones were defeated at home 95-103 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Jaguares had a 13-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Puerto Rican guard Luis Lopez (182-1998, college: PR-Mayaguez) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 8 assists. U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican forward Ivan Aska (201-1990, college: Murray St., agency: 011 Sports) helped adding 19 points and 7 rebounds. Jaguares' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was with 26 points. Jaguares maintains first place with 14-2 record. Leones lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 12 games lost.
The game in Corinto supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Real Esteli (9-7) played at the court of 7th ranked Tigres (3-14). Real Esteli smashed Tigres 119-94. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Jared Ruiz (188-1992) who led the winners and scored 36 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Anthony Hilliard accounted for 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Puerto Rican guard Ezequiel Colon (193-1999, college: Lehman) came up with 32 points for Tigres in the defeat. Real Esteli moved-up to third place. Tigres at the other side stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost.
