Webeans Moody's triple-double lands him TBN Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Forward Webeans Moody (F-2001) had a great game in the last round for Los Bufalos de Ticuantepe, receiving a Hoops Agents TBN Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 24-year old player recorded a triple-double of 23 points adding also 15 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team beat Frente (#18, 5-14) 109-95. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Los Bufalos maintains the 15th position in Nicaraguan TBN. Los Bufalos is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-13 record. In the team's last game Moody had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Los Bufalos, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Webeans Moody has solid league stats. He is in league's top in assists (9th best: 4.7apg) and averages impressive 52.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was Sidney Castaneda of San Isidro. Castaneda had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for San Isidro to edge Nicaragua U16 (#22, 0-18) 91-88. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But San Isidro managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 16th place. 13 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories San Isidro managed to get this year. Castaneda is one of the most experienced players at San Isidro and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.6ppg (#8). He also registered 18.4 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was international forward Andy Williams (200-PF-2002) of league's top team Jaguares de la UAM. Williams scored 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Jaguares, leading his team to a 118-114 win against #3 ranked UAM Univ. in a game of the week. Jaguares have amazing season winning all 18 games without a single defeat. Williams turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Williams has a very solid season. In 15 games in Nicaragua he scored 9.7ppg. He also has 7.7rpg and a FGP of 56.4%.
