Best players of Nicaraguan TBN round 20 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced International Point guard Sharlon Hodgson (183-PG-1994) had a very impressive game in the last round for UAM Universitarios and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents TBN Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 31-year old playmaker had the game-high 30 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for UAM Univ. in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Leones (#3, 17-3) 75-72. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Thanks to this victory UAM Univ. moved-up to the 4th position in Nicaraguan TBN. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. UAM Univ. will need more victories to improve their 17-5 record. In the team's last game Hodgson had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at UAM Univ., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Sharlon Hodgson averages this season 12.3ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young forward Webeans Moody (F-2001) of Los Bufalos de Ticuantepe. Moody impressed basketball fans with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Los Bufalos lost that game 92-97 to the higher-ranked Mineros (#8, 11-8). Los Bufalos managed to keep the same 15th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-13 record. Moody is one of the most experienced players at Los Bufalos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Jose Mccurbia of Mineros del Caribe (#8). Mccurbia scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Mineros, leading his team to a 97-92 win against the lower-ranked Los Bufalos (#15, 7-13). Mineros needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 8 lost games. Mccurbia has a great season in Nicaragua. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.8rpg (7th best).

9. Kurlam Chamorro (189-SF-1989) of Frente - 15 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Elijah Allen) of Leones - 15 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
