Caballos - Universitarios 76-64

Caballos outgunned Universitarios to advance into LPB Finals. Caballos outrebounded Halcones 48-36 including 34 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Josimar Ayarza (205-87, college: S.Mississippi) who scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Dominican center Miguel Evangelista (210-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Puerto Rican Wil Martinez (188-92, college: Fairmont St.) who recorded 24 points and 5 rebounds and American-Guyanese center Travis George (206-85, college: Los Angeles CC, agency: Interperformances) added 10 points and 17 rebounds respectively. Correcaminos overcame Panteras in the decider. Correcaminos dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Panteras' 26. They outrebounded Panteras 51-34 including 37 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Dominican center Manuel Guzman (204-82, college: Bemidji St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 20 rebounds. The former international forward Tyler Gaskins (193-92, college: St.Peter's) contributed with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Correcaminos players scored in double figures. Luis Dinolis (185-93, college: Broward CC) answered with 16 points and 6 assists and American point guard Tjader Fernandez (178-94) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Panteras.
