We bring you last week's top performances from Panamanians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Akil Mitchell
Akil Mitchell
#1. This week's number one is an international forward Akil Mitchell (206-92, college: Virginia, currently plays in Israel). He was the major contributor in M.Rishon's victory against the sixth-ranked Maccabi Haifa (10-13) crushing them 113-83 in the Israeli Winner League in Wednesday night's game. Mitchell recorded 13 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in 23 minutes on the court. Maccabi Rishon Le-Zion (1-0) is placed second in Losers Stage group. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. Mitchell has relatively good stats this year: 15.0ppg, 8.6rpg, 2.3apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 60.5%(155-256), 3FGP: 28.6% and FT: 59.8% in 25 games he played so far. He is a naturalized American. Mitchell is currently a member of the Panamanian senior national team. Strangely he has never played in Panama.

Ernesto Oglivie
Ernesto Oglivie
#2. Second place goes to an international power forward Ernesto Oglivie (199-89, currently plays in Colombia). Oglivie led Titanes to an easy victory against the sixth-ranked Motilones (1-1) crushing them 69-45 in the Colombian LPB last Thursday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 13 rebounds. Oglivie also added 4 assists and 3 steals. Titanes de Barranquilla (3-0) is placed second in the LPB. So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Oglivie has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 17.7ppg, 9.7rpg, 2.3apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 64.5%(20-31), 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 83.3%. Ex-Correcaminos de Colon player is in the roster of the Panamanian senior national team.

Tony Bishop
Tony Bishop
#3. The Panamanian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Tony Bishop (201-89, college: Texas St., currently plays in Romania). Bishop could not help Pitesti (2-1) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Pitesti lost 75-84 at home to the second-ranked Voluntari. Bishop was the top scorer with 20 points. He also added 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 33 minutes. Bishop's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. It's Bishop's first season with the team. This year he has relatively solid stats: 11.8ppg, 5.9rpg, 2.2apg, 1.8spg, 2FGP: 52.1%, 3FGP: 32.4% and FT: 78.4% in 24 games. Ex-Correcaminos de Colon player is also a member of the Panamanian senior national team.

Javier Carter
Javier Carter
#4. Center Javier Carter (203-91, agency: Slash Sports, college: USA, currently plays in Japan) was not able to help Akita Northern Happinets (28-30) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Carter's very good performance the seventh-placed Akita Northern Happinets (28-30) were defeated 73-66 on the road by the leading Link Tochigi Brex Utsunomiya in the East group. He recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 10 rebounds. Carter also added 4 blocks. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important. Carter has reliable stats this season: 10.4ppg, 6.2rpg and 1.6apg. He is a naturalized American. Carter is also Panamanian national team player. He used to play for Caballos de Cocle Aguadulce in Panamanian league.

Jamaal Levy
Jamaal Levy
#5. Deportivo Viedma Rio Negro (12-3) is placed first in Conferencia Sur. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. The Regular Season already ended. This year Levy's overall stats are: 8.0ppg, 7.1rpg and 1.3apg in 15 games. He plays currently for the Panamanian national team.

Daniel Giron

Giron was MVP of the game. He scored 23 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Soles de Ojinagais placed first in the LBE. One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Panamanian passport:

#1. Anell Alexis (200-PF-90, college: Marist, currently plays in Germany). Alexis could not help Schwelm (2-1) to beat Titans (2-0). He cannot count it as his best performance. Alexis recorded only 3 points and had 3 steals in 21 minutes. Schwelm (#2) was edged 68-66 on the road by the leading Titans in the Group 6. It was Schwelm's first loss after four consecutive victories. The Third Stage already ended. Alexis' stats this year are: 10.9ppg, 3.7rpg, 1.5apg and 1.3spg in 27 games he played so far.
