Joel Munoz gets MVP of the Week award for Panamanian LPB (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced Joel Munoz (183-PG-80) put on an amazing game in the last round for Dragones and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 41-year old playmaker had the game-high 23 points adding eight rebounds and seven assists for Dragones in his team's victory, helping them to beat Caballos (#6, 1-6) 82-77. Dragones is placed at 4th position in Panamanian LPB. Dragones is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-3 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Munoz as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Munoz has impressive league stats. He is league's best passer with 6.4apg. Munoz is in league's top in and averages solid 60.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 34-year old former international power forward Josimar Ayarza (205-PF-87) of Caballos. Ayarza impressed basketball fans with 33 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Caballos lost that game 77-82 to slightly higher-ranked Dragones (#4, 3-3). Caballos managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Caballos managed to get this year. Ayarza is a newcomer at Caballos and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 31.3ppg (#1). He also registered 8.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Jaime Lloreda (204-C-80) of top-ranked Correcaminos. Lloreda showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, nineteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Correcaminos, leading his team to a 81-70 win against #2 ranked Atletico Nacional in a game of the week. Correcaminos have amazing season winning all 7 games without a single defeat. Lloreda turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Lloreda has a great season in Panama. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.7ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 14.9rpg (#1 in league).
