King's 24 points and 9 rebounds give him Player of the Week award

31-year old Jonathan King (193-SF-90) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Atletico Nacional and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
He had the game-high 24 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for Atletico Nacional in his team's victory, helping them to beat Panteras (#5, 3-3) 104-95. Atletico Nacional maintains the 2nd position in Panamanian league. They are still close to the very top. Atletico Nacional would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. King has many years of experience at Atletico Nacional, through which he has constantly improved. Abilene Christian University graduate has very impressive stats this year. King is in league's top in points (4th best: 20.7ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 7.7rpg) and averages solid 54.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Raimer Santana (183-PG-97) of Panteras. He is Dominican Rep. guard in his first season at Panteras. In the last game Santana recorded impressive 27 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as Panteras lost that game 95-104 to the higher-ranked Atletico Nacional (#2, 5-1). Panteras is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Santana is a newcomer at Panteras and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.7ppg (#9).

Third place about best performers goes to center Jaime Lloreda (204-C-80) of league's leader Correcaminos. Lloreda scored 18 points and grabbed twenty rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Correcaminos, leading his team to a 86-79 win against the lower-ranked Caballos (#6, 1-6). Correcaminos have amazing season winning all 7 games without a single defeat. Lloreda turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Lloreda has a great season in Panama. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.7ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 14.9rpg (#1 in league).
