Mosquera number one in Panama LPB for round 6 (by Hoops Agents)

Colombian Tathiana Mosquera (197-C/F-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Correcaminos, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 32-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 19 rebounds, while her team outclassed Atletico (#6, 1-6) with 36-point margin 80-44. It allowed Correcaminos to consolidate first place in the Panamanian LPB. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Correcaminos already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. Mosquera turned to be Correcaminos' top player in her first season with the team. Tathiana Mosquera has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 20.8ppg), assists (7th best: 3.8apg) and averages impressive 2.8bpg and 53.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 31-year old Colombian Laura Garrido (F-90) of Amazonas. Garrido had a very good evening with a double-double of 34 points and 10 rebounds. Of course Amazonas cruised to a 74-65 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Aguilas (#5, 2-4). This victory allowed Amazonas to move up to 4th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-4 record. Garrido is a newcomer at Amazonas, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 32.2ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 11.2rpg and 4.2apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Correcaminos' star - Colombian forward Mabel Martinez (180-F-86). Martinez showcased her all-around game by recording 18 points, fifteen rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. She was another key player of Correcaminos, helping her team with a 80-44 easy win against the lower-ranked Atletico (#6, 1-6). Correcaminos started extremely well this year. They recorded 6 victories without losing a single game. Martinez turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. The season just started for Martinez as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be another team's leader.
