27-year old forward Pablo Rivas (198-F-94) put on an amazing game in the last round for Dragones and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
He had the game-high 24 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Dragones in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Toros (#7, 0-16) with 43-point margin 93-50. Dragones maintains the 3rd position in Panamanian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Dragones will need more victories to improve their 10-5 record. In the team's last game Rivas had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Dragones' top player in his first season with the team. North Carolina Central University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Rivas is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.2ppg) and averages solid 1.9bpg and 58.7% FGP. Worth to mention Rivas played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Adalberto Rojas (200-PF-86) of Caballos. He is naturalized American forward in his 3rd season at Caballos. In the last game Rojas recorded impressive double-double of 30 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as Caballos was edged by slightly higher-ranked Panteras (#5, 8-6) 77-73. Caballos managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Caballos managed to get this year. Rojas is one of the most experienced players at Caballos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.0ppg (#8). He also registered 10.4 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Caballos' star - center Dylan Johns (211-C-93). Johns scored 20 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Johns' great performance Caballos lost 73-77 to slightly higher-ranked Panteras (#5, 8-6). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Caballos can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Johns has a very solid season. In 7 games in Panama he scored 9.4ppg. He also has 8.1rpg and 1.4bpg.

4. Luis Dinolis (185-SG-93) of Panteras - 23 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
