Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most exciting game of round 10 in the LPB took place in Cocle. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked Panteras (7-3) to fourth ranked Amazonas (4-6) 76-74 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Panteras. Strangely Panteras outrebounded Amazonas 56-30 including a 23-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Colombian forward Laura Garrido (-90) who helped to win the game recording 40 points (!!!), 5 assists and 4 steals. Julia Jimenez contributed with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Ecuadorian power forward Lucia Garrido (-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for Panteras. Panteras' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Amazonas moved-up to third place, which they share with LA U. Panteras at the other side keep the second position with three games lost.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Panama City: Atletico (#6) and LA U (#3). Atletico (3-7) smashed visiting LA U (4-6) by 25 points 72-47. Venezuelan point guard Nathaly Malpica (161) scored 39 points (!!!) and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Tayina Ellis chipped in 8 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Kaysi Rodriguez (163) responded with 5 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Atletico moved-up to fifth place. LA U at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Amazonas.
