Mosquera's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

32-year old Tathiana Mosquera (197-C/F-89) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Correcaminos and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
She had a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds, while her team outclassed Amazonas (#4, 4-6) with 27-point margin 84-57. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Correcaminos to consolidate first place in the Panamanian LPB. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Correcaminos keeps a perfect 9-0 record. Mosquera turned to be Correcaminos' top player in her first season with the team. Mosquera has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 21.7ppg), assists (9th best: 2.9apg) and averages solid 2.1bpg and 57.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Lucia Garrido (C/F-92) of league's second-best Panteras. She is Ecuadorian in her first season at Panteras. In the last game Garrido recorded impressive double-double of 13 points and 16 rebounds. Of course she led Panteras to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Aguilas (#6, 2-7) 91-36. Panteras' second position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 7-3 record is not bad at all. Garrido is a newcomer at Panteras and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.3ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 14.0rpg and 3.8apg.

Third place about best performers goes to another Correcaminos' star - forward Mabel Martinez (180-F-86). Martinez showcased her all-around game by recording 22 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. She was another key player of Correcaminos, helping her team with a 84-57 easy win against #4 ranked Amazonas in a game of the week. Correcaminos have amazing season winning all 9 games without a single defeat. Martinez turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. The season just started for Martinez as she played only first game. But it already looks like she can be another team's leader.
