Correcaminos held off Dragones to win Game 1 of the Finals. Correcaminos dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Dragones' 34. Correcaminos forced 20 Dragones turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Jaime Lloreda (204-80, college: LSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. International forward Michael Hicks (196-76, college: TAMUCC) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five Correcaminos players scored in double figures. Forward Pablo Rivas (198-94, college: NCCU) answered with 28 points and 7 rebounds and Gil Atencio (202-96, college: St.Clair) added 22 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Dragones.
