Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Cobras (3-5) to fifth ranked Felinas (2-5) 65-62 on Saturday evening. Felinas forced 24 Cobras turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Felinas made 7 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by Cobras helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Esther Vega fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Tayina Ellis (182-1984) chipped in 13 points, 17 rebounds and 5 blocks. Colombian forward Paola Rivas (178) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Felinas maintains fifth position with 2-5 record. Cobras at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the fourth place with five games lost. Felinas are looking forward to face higher ranked Amazonas (#3) in Cocle in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Worth to mention a great performance of Nathaly Malpica who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 assists. At the losing side Nelly Rapalo responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leonas have an impressive six-game winning streak. Newly promoted Leonas maintains first position with 6-1 record. Amazonas lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with three games lost. Leonas will meet league's second-placed LA U in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Amazonas will play against Felinas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
