Petkovic number one in Panama LPB for round 8 (by Hoops Agents)

Serbian Power forward Milos Petkovic (204-F/C-1991) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Centinelas, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds, while his team crushed Universitarios (#6, 1-12) with 22-point margin 85-63. Centinelas is placed at 4th position in Panamanian LPB. Centinelas is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-7 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Petkovic as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Milos Petkovic averages this season 9.8ppg and 9.5rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was another Centinelas' star - young Lucas Chavez (187-SG-1995). Chavez had a very good evening with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course together with Petkovic he helped Centinelas with another comfortable win 89-73 over slightly lower-ranked Halcones (#5, 5-8) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Centinelas to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-7 record. Chavez is a newcomer at Centinelas, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.7ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 7.1rpg and 6.2apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Costa Rican forward Victor Arias (197-PF-1995) of league's second-best Lobos. Arias scored 20 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was a key player of Lobos, leading his team to a 87-78 win against the lower-ranked Halcones (#5, 5-8). Arias has a great season in Panama. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.0ppg (8th best), rebounds with 8.0rpg (6th best) and assists with 2.9apg (7th best). He also has 2.6spg and FGP: 56.4%.
