Liga WPlay 2023 - Titanes welcome back Ernesto Oglivie

Ernesto Oglivie

Defending champion Titanes de Barranquilla (Liga WPlay) inked 33-year old Panamanian 203cm power forward Ernesto Oglivie for upcoming season. It is actually his comeback to Titanes as he has played here before. Oglivie played recently at Hebraica in Uruguayan LUB league. In 12 games he averaged impressive 15.2ppg, 9.1rpg, 1.3apg and 1.1spg last season. He ended the last season at Mineros in Mexican LNBP where in 6 games he had 13.8ppg, 7.2rpg and 1.0apg. But the most of that year he spent at Titanes in Colombian Liga Wplay. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 19 Colombian Liga Wplay games he recorded very remarkable stats: 17.9ppg, 8.7rpg and 2.6apg. A very good season in his career as he was awarded Latinbasket.com All-Colombian LPB Apertura Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Finals MVP. Oglivie also played 7 games in Liga Sudamericana where he got high stats: 16.1ppg, 7.1rpg, 1.9apg and 1.1spg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals.
Oglivie represented Panama at the Centrobasket in Panama City (Panama) seven years ago. Oglivie's team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 6 games: 7.3ppg, 6.3rpg, 1.0apg, FGP: 62.1%, FT: 53.3%.
He is a very experienced player. Oglivie has played also professionally in Argentina (Ferro), Chile (Concepcion), Paraguay (Sol de America), Mexico (Dorados, Lechugueros, Panteras, Abejas and Capitanes), El Salvador (Denver-FAS San Salvador, San Marcos and Metapan), Panama (Universitarios, Correcaminos, Caballos and Los Tigres) and Ecuador (ComuniKT).
Among many awards he received Latinbasket.com All-Colombian LPB Clausura Player of the Year award in 2021.
