Panama edged Honduras 58-53 to close COCABA tournament with a 2-3 record. Honduras meanwhile ended up with a 1-4 record. It was Honduras who won the first two quarters and took a 32-27 halftime advantage. Panama meanwhile replied with an 18-11 run in the third quarter and closed the game with a final 13-10 rally.
Ashley Reid (165-G-1998, college: Wichita St.) top-scored for the winners with 14 points and Vivian Grenald (183-PF-2009) collected 12 points and 12 rebounds. Ankara Reichle (171-SF-2000) answered with 16 points in defeat, whilst Nelly Rapalo (173-F-1999) poured in 14.
