Guillermo Navarro's triple-double lands him LPB U23 Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

21-year old point guard Guillermo Navarro (181-PG-2003) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Panama Metro U23 team and receives a Hoops Agents LPB U23 Player of the Week award for round 10.
He recorded a triple-double of 26 points adding also 11 rebounds and 11 assists, while his team outclassed Panama Norte (#5, 10-5) with 26-point margin 100-74. Panama Metro maintains the 2nd position in Panamanian LPB U23. Panama Metro has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 14-1. In the team's last game Navarro had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Panama Metro's top player in his first season with the team. Navarro has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 16.5ppg) and averages solid 60.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Juan Lewis (181-F-2004) of Bocas Del Toro U23 team. He is a forward in his first season at Bocas Del Toro. In the last game Lewis recorded an impressive 30 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Bocas Del Toro lost that game 71-106 to league's leader Colon (#1, 18-0). Bocas Del Toro managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-10 record. Lewis is a newcomer at Bocas Del Toro and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.2ppg (#2). He also registered 7.2 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Anthony Jones of Panama Oeste U23 team (#9). Jones scored 15 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). Despite Jones' great performance the Panama Oeste lost 64-67 to slightly higher-ranked Chiriqui (#8, 7-10). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Panama Oeste can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 4-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Jones has individually a great season in Panama. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.8rpg (9th best).
