Villar's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

19-year old center Natasha Villar (178-C-2005) had a great game in the last round for Cobras and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
She had a double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds, while her team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Aguilas (#6, 0-4) with 20-point margin 67-47. Thanks to this victory Cobras moved-up to the 4th position in Panamanian LPBF. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Cobras will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. Villar has many years of experience at Cobras, through which she has constantly improved. Villar has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 19.0ppg) and averages solid 53.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Ashley Reid (165-G-1998) of league's second-best Club Deportivo Panteras. She is naturalized American guard in her first season at Panteras. In the last game Reid recorded an impressive 30 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. It was enough for Panteras to edge Artesanas (#7, 0-5) by 2 points 78-76. Panteras' second position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost just one game this season, while they won 4 matches. Reid is a newcomer at Panteras and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.0ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 5.3rpg and 4.3apg.

Third place about best performers goes to center Libia De la Rosa (185-C-1992) of Artesanas (#7). De la Rosa showcased her all-around game by recording 22 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. Despite De la Rosa's great performance the Artesanas lost 76-78 to the higher-ranked Panteras (#2, 4-1). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. De la Rosa has individually a great season in Panama. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.3rpg (5th best) and assists with 4.8apg (best passer).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
