Bottom-ranked Aguilas is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to fourth ranked Cobras (4-4) 60-49 on Thursday evening. Cobras forced 21 Aguilas turnovers and had a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jessica Martino (178-2000, college: Delaware St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds. Center Natasha Villar (178-2005) contributed with 8 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Center Angelica Racine answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 24 rebounds for Aguilas. Aguilas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cobras maintains fourth place with 4-4 record. Aguilas at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost.
The game between third ranked Correcaminos (6-2) and 5th ranked LA U (2-6) in Colon ended with biggest points difference. Correcaminos beat guests from Panama City 77-61. Worth to mention a quality performance of Mexican point guard Paola Beltran (164-1994) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Diana Armas helped adding 15 points and 21 rebounds. At the losing side Venezuelan guard Crismar Rojas responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Correcaminos moved-up to second place, which they share with Panteras. LA U lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Artesanas.
