Center Natasha Villar (178-C-2005) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Cobras, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 19-year old player had a double-double of 18 points and 17 rebounds, while her team edged out Panteras (#3, 6-3) 76-73. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Cobras maintains the 4th position in Panamanian LPBF. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Cobras will need more victories to improve their 6-4 record. Villar has many years of experience at Cobras, through which she has constantly improved. Natasha Villar has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (7th best: 15.8ppg) and averages impressive 1.1bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Colombian Juliana Jimenez (2000) of Artesanas de Cocle. Jimenez had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 13 rebounds. Of course she led Artesanas to another comfortable win outscoring Aguilas (#7, 0-8) 81-47. This victory allowed Artesanas to move up to 5th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-7 record. Jimenez is a newcomer at Artesanas, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.9ppg (#6). Her other stats are also decent: 8.7rpg and 3.2apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Artesanas' star - Victoria Castillo. Castillo scored 25 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. She was another key player of Artesanas de Cocle, helping her team with a 81-47 easy win against Aguilas (#7, 0-8). Castillo has a very solid season. In 10 games in Panama she scored 7.0ppg.

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
