Puerto Rico advanced to the Big Final in Guadalajara. They eliminated Dominican Republic in the Semis 85-77. Puerto Ricans will meet host Mexico in the Gold medal game. Renaldo Balkman (201-F-84, college: S.Carolina) had 14 pts and 7 rebs, while Edwin Ubiles (198-G/F-86, college: Siena) added 13 pts and 6 rebs. In Dominican Republic, Jack Michael Martinez (203-F/C-81, agency: Paris Global Sports) collected 20 pts and 8 rebs. Mexico eliminated USA in the Semifinals of the Panamerican Games 2011. The host of this event handed 71-55 loss to USA and will meet Puerto Rico in the Finals. USA will fight for the Bronze and their rival will be Dominican Republic. Jovan Harris (191-G/F-81, college: USF) paced Mexico to victory in this meeting with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Real Mata (205-C-86) had 12 points and 9 rebs. Third scorer in Mexico was Pedro Meza Rogel (186-G-85, college: Arizona W. CC) with 9 points. On the other side, Leo Criswell-Lyons (206-F-87, college: Missouri) was better than the others with 13 points. Brazil finished as the fifth ranked team at the Panamerican Games 2011 in Guadalajara. They outplayed Canada in the last day of the competition 56-74. Canada finished as No.6 at this event. Marcelo Magalhaes (199-F/G-75, agency: Interperformances) led the winners with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Lucas Cipolini (206-F/C-86, college: BYU-Hawaii) scored 11 and Cristiano Felicio (206-C-92) added 10 pts, plus 6 rebounds in this victory.
