Nestor Garcia
Venezuela's Senior National Team, coached by Argentinian Nestor Garcia, has two international tournaments (2015 Panamerican Games in Toronto, Canada, and 2015 FIBA Americas Olympic Qualy Tournament in Ciudad de Mexico, Mexico) and a pretty tight schedule of preparation games that involves travelling to Europe and Asia.
That's why the Venezuelan Basketball Federation (FVB) is working ahead with the announcement of training sessions for two large group of players (32 players) on June 14th and June 21st in Caracas's National Basketball Center.
The NT will host the Israel Sarmiento Tournament from June 25th till the 27th with two teams of Venezuela clashing against Cuba and Uruguay.
Then, the team will travel to Spain on June 28th to play 4 friendly games against teams of Spain and Africa.
On July 14th, the team will travel directly to Canada for the Panamerican Games. There are friendly matches scheduled ahead of the official tournament against Canada (July 17th) and Mexico or Dominican Republic (July 19th). Venezuela will clash against USA, Canada and Brazil in its group.
Then, they'll play three aditional friendly games in Spain prior to going to China for the Stankovic Cup against Mexico, New Zealand and China, from August 3rd till the 8th.
Back in Europe, Venezuela will face Macedonia on August 14th and another group will travel to Argentina to play the Four Nations Tournament against Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina, while the Europe group will face Serbia, China and Russia in the Belgrade International Tournament on August 15th and 16th. Then there's a friendly match against Spain on August 18th.
Another international tournament will be played on August 21st and 22nd and teams involved are Spain, Macedonia, Greece, Australia, Canada, Dominican Republic and Venezuela, though there's no official info regarding this tournament.
