Brazil - Puerto Rico 64-58
Brazil accounted for the second straight win in Group A. They overcame Puerto Rico to stay undefeated. The teams went neck and neck throughout the first half. Brazil eked out a 32:31 halftime lead. They went on a 19:9 run in the third period to boost the margin at 11-point mark and protected it throughout the fourth stanza. Erika De Souza (197-C-82) and Clarissa Dos Santos (188-C-88) delivered 12 points each for Brazil. Jennifer ONeill replied with 23 points for Puerto Rico.

Paraguay - Canada 64-90
Canada recorded the first win in Lima. They stormed past Paraguay for 1-1 record in Group A. Canada posted a 41:35 halftime lead. They followed with a strong 49:29 second half run to ice the win. Samantha Hill (177-G-94, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in 14 points, while Jamie Weisner-Scott (178-SF-94, college: Oregon St., agency: LBM Management) had 12 points for the North American side. Paola Ferrari (178-G/F-85, college: Union, TN) accounted for 28 points for Paraguay.

Group B
U.S. Virgin Islands - USA 55-103
USA cruised past US Virgin Islands to gain 2-0 record in Group B. USA dominated their opponents in each quarter. The North American side piled up a 55:21 halftime lead and coasted to the victory in the second half. Taylor Mikesell (180-G-99) chipped in 16 points, while Michaela Onyenwere (183-F-99) produced 15 points for USA. Natalie Day (182-G/F-90, college: Portland) replied with 20 points for US Virgin Islands.
