Argentina survived a thriller on their way to the semis of the Pan American Games. They overcame Puerto Rico 77-75 and will play Brazil in the semifinals. Argentina nailed 30 points in the opening frame and led 4 points at the halftime. Puerto Rico meanwhile reduced it to 2 as both teams nailed 16 points each in the last stanza.
Camila Suarez (178-SG-2000) top-scored fo the winners with 22 points and Maria Jourdheuil (180-PF-1994) as well as Candela Gentinetta (181-SF-2001) had 13 each.
