Venezuela shock Brazil, enter Pan American Games Final

Venezuela shocked Brazil at the Pan American Games semifinal game. Venezuela posted an 84-77 win and advanced to the Final. Venezuela surprised the opponents with a 25-15 lead at the start and added massive 31-22 run in the second frame. Brazil replied with two similar 20-14 rallies in the second half, however could not catch up with the winners.
Yohanner Sifontes (192-G-1995, agency: Pro Sports) top-scored for the winners with 22 points and Jose Ascanio (204-F-1996, agency: Pro Sports) poured in 15. Guilherme Pereira (F) replied with 22 points in the losing effort.
