Libertad is the Paraguayan Champion 2008
Defeating Sol de America 94-73 in Game 7 of the SuperCup Series, Libertad became the 2008 Paraguayan Champion. The game was very close till the third quarter, when a partial score of 27-12 of Libertad closed the game. Domestic star Daniel Perez (190-G/F-84) was the game best performer, scoring 25 points for Libertad, well assisted by Ricardo Ozuna (185-G/F-82), who added 19. The game top scorer was Guillermo Araujo (204-C-82), who poured in 26 points for Sol de America. This results confirms the supremacy of Libertad, winner 11 times in the 16 meetings with Sol de America in 2008 season. This is the ninth title for Libertad, winnner of the previous editions in 1972, 1974, 1977, 1979, 1986, 1987, 1990 and 2005.
