Libertad sweeps Final Series - Jun 25, 2009
Libertad defeated Sol de America even in Game 4, this time 76-72, completing a 4-0 domination and claiming the pertura Title. The best in Sol de America were Jose Fabio (198-F-77) with 28 points and Gustavo Paniagua (186-G-80) with 10, P.J. Mills (201-F) led the way in Libertad with 19 points, helped by Bruno Zanotti (197-F-82, agency: Megasport, college: Merrimack) who scored 16 at the winning side. Paraguayan basketball will concentrate now on the National Championship, reserved to the Province Selections.

Libertad wins Top 5 - Oct 22, 2008 
Defeating Sol de America, 86-74 in Game 4 of the Finals, Libertad was crowned the champion of the Top 5 Tournament. The star of the last game was Victor Brizuela (195-F-76), who replaced well the injured Renaldo Johnson (201-F-79, agency: Tank Sports, college: E.Tenn.St.) scoring 27 points for the black and white team, well assisted by the usual shooting from Ricardo Ozuna (185-G/F-82) (23 pts). The most outstanding players in Sol were Gustavo Paniagua (186-G-80) and Guillermo Araujo (204-C-82), who ended the game with 20 points each. Now, Libertad will challenge again.... Sol de America, for the title of Absoluer Paraguayan Champion, in the so-named 'Super Cup Series'. This is a playoff between the Liga Nacional winner (Sol) and the Top 5 winner (Libertad), best of seven games, that will start in Asuncion on Saturday, October 25.
