SOL is the new 2010 National League Campion. - Nov 16, 2010 Sol de America Asuncion is the new 2010 NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPION. In its 3rd edition the NATIONAL LEAGUE included six teams. Sol, Olimpia de Asuncion, Felix Perez, San Jose, last champion Libertad and GIGANTES DEL NORTE from the northern city of CONCEPCION. Sol played an outstandin second round i this league, finishing first and earning soon rights to acces the FINAL SERIES. On the other hanf, Olimpia de Asuncion who was the best team through the whole first round, had an average second round and a FINAL SERIES to forget due to its inconsistency in all aspects of the game. Sol was solid in defense, in offense, with different weapons as resourses to use when needed and so they did. Very effective from long distance Sol totally confused Olimpia de Asuncion taking Ronald Selleaze (197-F-76, agency: Dream Team Management, college: CSU Bakersfield) to the perimeter to shoot 3's. This tactic very well hidden by Sol's coach Feli totally dissarmed Olimpia de Asuncion's defense because Araujo had to play outside, opportunity that was very well used by Jose Fabio (198-F-77) (MVP) to work inside and destroy that paint. Even though fouth game was very even during first quarter 23.22 for Olimpia de Asuncion, it was not the same by mid 2nd quarter when Sol started to bright with solid defense and outside hits. Fist half ended 50 to 45 for Sol. During the whole SERIES, OLIMPIA could not feed its two most important inside players Lewis and Guillermo Araujo (204-C-82) It is obvious the mis conduction in this aspect. Cristian Viveros did not take under consideration that Ronald Selleaze (197-F-76, agency: Dream Team Management, college: CSU Bakersfield) could guard so effectively to Greg Lewis neither consider he could play so well from long distance. For Latinbasket it is Ron Selleaze the MVP award winner. At least of the FINAL SERIES. His impact in the game was simply outstanding and decisive to obtain this championship. Taby Torres and Jose Fabio were also so important in this victory, Fabio showed an amazing regularity through the whole season. He can feel so gratified for the job done due to the two championship obtain this year, first with Cerro at COMUNEROS CUP and now th N.L. Latinbasket congratulate Sol's players , managing and coaching staff for such a great job done.Also to Jose Fabio for 2nd MVP award in this N.L and also Juan Pablo Feliu for 2nd title obtained in 3 N.L editions.
