Olimpia wins National Title 2009 - Nov 20, 2009 Some weeks ago, Olimpia Asuncion defeated 68-59 Sol de America in the third and decisive game of the Final Series, becoming the 2009 Female Champion of Paraguay. With 19 points, Heidy Closs (G/F) was the top performer at the winning side, but Johana Ghiringhelli (168-G-86) was decisive she too, with 8 of hers 15 points scored in the last quarter. Carolina Caraves (177-F/C-92) was the game top scorer, with 24 points in losing effort. |
